Java developer (m/f)

Job description

We are expanding one of our established teams and are offering a long-term position with opportunities for growth and ongoing engagement in exciting projects.

In this role, you will work on a critical system for our client in Switzerland. Your responsibilities will include attending meetings to gather requirements, proposing practical solutions, identifying and addressing challenges, and implementing new features. You will also be responsible for creating and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation for the software.

The system is built on the Eclipse Scout framework (https://eclipse.dev/scout/), so you will undergo onboarding and training to familiarize yourself with the platform.

Your profile

Minimum 3-4 years of experience in Java development (Java 8 or later)
Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases
Knowledge of web services (SOAP and REST)
Experience with version control systems like Git
Familiarity with build tools like Maven or Gradle
Experience working with tools like Jira, Confluence…
Strong command of English, sufficient to collaborate effectively with teams across Europe
You are passionate, experienced and ambitious developer
You are communicative
You are willing to learn new tool/technology if needed
Nice to have: fluent in German
